I open my eyes and I am no longer in a panic

I stare into the distance to the end of the world

Up in the mountains and down in the valleys

the raging continues in every direction

Across the plains and the fields and in every city and in every town

smoke billows as history itself crumbles

Oceans boil over and even deserts burn

I set out on foot

staying ahead of the flames

Torch in one hand

feeding the furnace

No one will be spared

I will not even spare myself

The end will come

A scorched earth

A new world

That will be the end of my journey
